Steve Jobs


Steven Paul Jobs (1955-2011) and Apple Computers are names that have long gone together. Bone in the United States to an unknown Egyptian-Arab father, jobs was adopted soon after birth. After graduating high school, he enrolled in Reed College, dropping out after one semester. In 1976, 21-year-old Jobs and 26-year ols Steve Wozniak founded Apple Computers Co. In the family garage. Jobs revolutionized the industry by popularising the concept of home computers. By 1984, the Macintosh was introduced. He had an influential role in the building of the World Wide Web, and also happens to be Chairman and CEO of pixar Animation Studios. Today, with the ipod, Aple is bigger than ever. Incidentally, Jobs worked for several years at an annual salary of $1. It got him a listing in the Guinness Book as 'Lowest Paid Chief Executive Officer .' He was once gifted a $9 crores jet by the company through. And his net worth? More than $3 billion. "Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

Steve Jobs, the transcendent Silicon Valley entrepreneur who changed the daily habits of millions around the globe, died on 05/10/2011at the age of 56.


His death after a years-long battle with pancreatic cancer  sparked an immediate outpouring of tributes as world leaders, business rivals and fans alike lamented the tragedy of his premature passing and celebrated his monumental achievements.
"The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve's success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented," US President Barack Obama said in a statement.
